week five

this week was a great week full of smiles, coo, family, and fun! we traveled to lucky's parents in northern VA and celebrated thanksgiving with them and his sister and uncle. the girls had a blast ... Emerson slept through most of it, but was awake enough to give everyone a smile or look or two. :) on our way to lucky's parents, we stopped at my grandparents and visited for a while. while we were there, we were able to see my cousin and her family who live in NY ... so that was crazy fun. here are some of the pictures that we captured of Emerson throughout the week. we hope you enjoy them.

it is so hard to take pictures of Emerson while i hold him ... and his smiles turn goofy, like this one ... but in it's own way, it is kind of cute! :)

i just love this hat on him!

finially a great smile captured on "film" (i guess now it is "disk?")

don't let him fool you. his thanksgiving was wonderful even if he didn't get any turkey. we all hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving and were surrounded by friends and family!

week four

this week was especially hard for us. Emerson had thrush and that effected nursing. so he wasn't eating as much (since it was hurting to nurse), and therefore he was fussier more. as a result to this, he started lossing weight. so we have been slowly fixing these problems only to find out that he probably has acid reflux like Arwen Grace did. but we are on top of both of these and are ready to enjoy Thanksgiving next week. here are some pictures from this week ... enjoy!

this one he looks like my Granddaddy Billy ... or Poppy to the girls. :)

here he is looking at lucky wearing one of my favorite outfits ... Daddy's Best Buddy! (in Carolina blue ... go Heels!)

watching the little birdies on his mobile

and here he is showing off his stone cold grey eyes! i love them!

week two and three

sorry about not updating more often, but most of his two week old pictures looked like his one week old pictures since he was rarely awake. so i am just combining week two and three. hope you enjoy!

and at his two week doctor's appointment he was still 21.5" long (90%) and weighed 7 lb 8oz (25 - 50%). we won't go back until December for his 2 month appointment.
