iCrawl

instruction:

Put your iCrawl on the floor and put something interesting in
front of it.

Soon the iCrawl will start to push with it's feet and pull with it's hands to get where it want to go, especially towards that interesting item or person in front of it.

Next you will see that your iCrawl move into the Army Crawl mode.
(though it may just be that Delta Force blood in this model)

Before you know it, your iCrawl will be learning to get up on my hands and knees.

Sorry that there are no pictures of the iCrawl actually crawling. Though in real life you see a lady chase her iCrawl instead of taking pictures of it.

Problems you may face:

If you see your iCrawl looking like this, don't worry - just charge the batteries by having the iCrawl just take a nap.

Also available:

iPullUp

iHoldOn

Look for iStand and iWalk coming soon!!!

trying new things ...

... like green beans!

tasting them for Mommie ...

"curious ... very curious ..."

"i mean, yuck ... very yucky!!!"

"try them again? do i have to?"

"Boo said what?!?!?! I have to eat these HOW many times before i like them? Tell her that it is more like I HAVE to eat these 6 times before YOU understand .... "

" ... I DO NOT LIKE GREEN BEANS!!!!"

Boo is my (natalie's) mother and has some wonderful advice for anyone's children. This piece of advice Emerson is "talking" about is that children often don't like things the first time given and it can take up to 6 times for them to start to like it (at least i think that is the advice ... Momma, feel free to post it better on a comment). Emerson still isn't enjoying green beans as baby food or mushed up, but did eat some (with a face, but only at the very beginning of each bite) at Cracker Barrel. My mother probably would say "See, i told you. 6 times." but me, i say "LOTS of butter!!!" :) I love you, Momma!

tarheels and wolfpacks

so normally our house is pretty okay with everyone liking tarheels and wolfpacks, except for days like this when the tarheels CREAMED the wolfpacks (99-62) and then lucky is all wolfpack and natalie is all tarheel and our children ... you think we would try to win them on our side, but they are just our little "wolfheels" :)

(tarpacks was our first thought, but then it sounded too much like a ciggarete company)

here Emerson is 12 weeks and finially in 0-3 month clothes!!! whoo-hoo!

the end of 2007

sorry that i haven't been updating as much as i planned on. but let me catch you up on life ...

right before Christmas, our doctor told us that he was concerned with Emerson's weight and would like to get either an x-ray or ultrasound to see if he had something that would need surgery to correct. we did our best to leave it in God's hands since we had to get through Christmas before we got the ultrasound.

lucky was on-call the week of Christmas, so we weren't able to go anywhere. we thought that meant a quieter Christmas, but we were mistaken ... we had lots of visitors and tons of fun! (look for a family update and one from each girl about our Christmas!)

in the middle of this wonderful week, natalie's parents came and watched the girls so we could take Emerson to his ultrasound appointment. we are blessed to be able to say that nothing was wrong with Emerson. we had prepared our hearts for Emerson to need surgery and we are thankful that this wasn't part of God's plan.

we went to the doctor right after New Year's and had Emerson weighed. in 14 days, Emerson had gained 12 oz!!! so he is doing much better. we have changed his acid reflux medicine and see if that will help keep some of the milk inside him. so we will wait and see if it does.

so this year has been wonderful so fa though i haven't taken ANY pictures in 2008. i will get on that and get them on here for you. but here are some of Emerson's pictures at the end of 2007.
